Another Day

So depressed I can't even get dressed
Face another day of talking to you
There comes a time when you say that things are just fine
One too many times
And although you shake my hand
There is inside no man holding up the lantern
Of endangered position

Solitude to start something new
Solitude to break the back of repetition
Join the ghost of dreams and wait in the queue
For a view of alternative attrition

Something has gone away from me
Carrying out the sentence in the prison of the free
And I want my life back

Make your mind up one way or the other
To be someone here or disappear altogether
Don't tease life with one smile too many
For you may need it and your sacrifce is plenty

Something is gone away from me
Carrying out the sentence in the prison of the free
And I want my life back
