Cold Wind Bay (3.11)

I've never seen a pearl without
there being a mother cloud
Rocks on forgotten roads stretching to the sunset
In the dry grass was I ever there
But I feel my spirit hanging in the air

When the cold night freezes all the stars
and the tired wind moans around the back hills
I was once apart of a great escape
I can't believe I was ever there

Oh the old sou'west
Hugs the cliffs to its chest
Five minutes without you
and I'd be dead
Stretched out like a cobweb maze
Only five degrees in the shade
Oh this is a love song

More and more I feel it calling me
To the point where I can only stand and stare
And if I hold a mirror up to my eyes
The craziest man you'll ever find

Spend my time down at Cold Wind Bay
See the lights of the town so far away
And the last rays of day fall on her chest
Black eyes deep and moist and wet
Spend my time down at Cold Wind Bay
